yWriter 4 review

Just had an email letting me know of the first major review of yWriter 4.

Lots of pros, a good score, and only two cons. One of the cons (no submission tracker) is irrelevant, since I already have Sonar in the stable. The other ... well, I don't believe in hand-holding when it comes to software ;-)

Anyway, take a look at the review for more.

EDIT: Don't miss the new yWriter mailing list.

Simon - I just wanted to say thank you and congratulations on the review! I found yWriter for the first time today after seeing a comment about it on Nathan Bransford's blog, and installed it without even seeing the PCMag review. I love it so far - it's exactly what I've been needing.

Do you have a Google Group or something where users can post questions and/or requests and see what's on your docket for future releases? < G > I'm so greedy. I know you have plenty else to do and I don't expect or need help documentation, but I was wondering about the "timeline" feature. I noticed you can assign a time/date to a scene, but I can't find anywhere to use that data to reorder the scenes or turn it into a 'view'. Is that planned for a future release?

In any case, thank you thank you thank you for the great software. :) Michelle

I do have a yWriter group, but there's only one member. Then again, I only set it up 2 minutes ago:

Woot! I'm glad your program is getting some of the attention it deserves. ^.^ I went through far too many free, and even tried a few "Trials" for paid programs, and I've never found a program that "Just Does It" like yWriter. Congrats, and keep up the good work. ;P (I hate to say it, but I am very interested in the Time Line view too. >.> Good to know I'm not the only one. ;P)
