I don't know about the books being out in the UK soon - I mean, I have an agent but there's still the tiny little hurdle of actually finding a publisher. I had such a job doing so here in Australia that I self-published in 2000 and waited 4 years for them to come to me. It worked, but I don't recommend it to sane people.
BTW, I have a couple of gold medals from state archery events, so how about mostly harmless? ;-)
