No, it's not a catchy book title, it's just a reminder that the Hal Spacejock books are listed on Amazon US. So far each of the three books has an average rating of five stars, and that's without my talking friends and family into posting fake reviews - who'd have thought?

'Wanted to tell you--because of your note on "one copy left" of Just Desserts I managed to grab it up before somebody else did.
Should be her today or tomorrow.
Don't say that or I'll be forever saying 'limited stocks, act now!'
;-)
so is Hal Spacejock like a space western/space opera?
Not really. There aren't any big space battles - or even gunfights. In fact, there's no violence at all.
I don't know whether you've ever seen an episode of the UK TV series Minder, but the books have that kind of feel, and Hal's relationship with Clunk is very Jeeves and Wooster.
Hal's also a bit like Captain Haddock from Tintin - he has an exaggerated idea of his own importance in the scheme of things, and is deluded about his ability to handle day-to-day events.
Ah okay. I did read that Hal was comparable to Red Dwarf. I have that book and love it.
